Dylan Hitchcock-Lopez

Dylan joined Ashburn and Mason as an associate attorney in 2023 and assists in all areas of the firm’s practice. Prior to joining the firm, Dylan clerked for the Honorable Bethany Harbison on the Alaska Court of Appeals and spent two years as an Assistant District Attorney with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. As an ADA, Dylan prosecuted misdemeanor and felony offenses before being transferred to a specialized gun violence taskforce where he was embedded with the Philadelphia Police Department, investigating and prosecuting dangerous gun offenders.

Dylan was born and raised in Alaska and has lived in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Homer, and Sitka. Before attending law school, he worked as a commercial fisherman, carpenter, and fish broker.

During law school, Dylan focused on public interest litigation, with an emphasis on housing and landlord-tenant law. Dylan was an editor for the Washington University Journal of Law & Policy and the recipient of the Equal Justice Works Award for Outstanding Commitment to Public Service and the Mary Collier Hitchcock (no relation) Prize for Outstanding Writing.
